Don't give up on October! The last two years new moon in October has been Indian summer with cool evenings. Presented by Nathan's Historical Observations On Oct 3, 2011, at 6:11 AM, Chuck Hards <chuck.hards@gmail.com> wrote:
"Binopalooza" was a star party at Lakeside about ten or twelve years ago, with emphasis on binocular astronomy. Of course everyone brought a telescope as well. We had a "show and tell" session before nightfall, with everyone showing off their various binocular mounts. The seeing was fantastic, we were seeing the larger spiral galaxies like photos in 70mm and larger binos. Some of us have talked about having another one, and I certainly wouldn't mind at all.
With the weather expected to turn this week, perhaps next spring would be better?
