Yeah, it sounds like a Coast-to-Coast Show that was hosted by Art Bell back then. Art Bell really got into those odd sort of things.

I think you heard a rebroadcast of Coast-to-Coast AM show with Mjr. Ed Dames - one of the Army's former "remote viewers". I would recommend reading the book 'The Men Who Stare at Goats'. It goes in depth and is an interesting read. I picked it up used for $1 at Amazon.
