Beautiful shots! It must have been amazing to see! Having never seen the aurora myself, I continue to wonder how fast their movement can be. I know it can vary from display to display. Were you able to detect their movement with your eyes directly, or only over some time? Is it similar to the way one can often tell cumulus clouds are moving slowly but it is just at the edge of visual detection? Somewhere I have similar shots (emulsion) from Big Mountain and Little Mountain. Ah, the memories.
Still waiting for another "Pink Floyd" show like we got some years ago right here in northern Utah.
