Hi Rich, Actually I've converted the screws in all of my finders to use the type shown in the top of your picture. However, while I don't know of any screws exactly like what you are looking for, I have seen and used large plastic heads that are pressed on the heads of allen head bolts. The heads are flat on top and have a serrated edge. Would something like that work? Patrick Richard Tenney wrote:
Hi all,
I seem to be pretty clumsy about knocking my old Criterion Dynascope around during transport, and as you can see from the pic [see the link below], I keep breaking off the knobs on my finder scope adjustment screws. I like these big knobs (except for the fact that they seem to be made of "potmetal"), but can't seem to find them in any of the local hardware stores. Any of you know where I can find some replacements like the ones in the picture (not the one on top)? (Can you believe how beat up this poor old finderscope looks?! That digitial camera works too well... ;-)
Anyway, here's the pic: http://jove.prohosting.com/~uvaa/rich/6x30FinderCloseup.jpg
Thanks, Rich
