I think I am going to charter a plane for the Idaho eclipse. Perhaps a Cessna 182. I want a "like" button for this posting! But, seriously, this eclipse will be an order of magnitude more "special" to the public than the annular eclipse we saw last Spring. The roads will be jammed with people trying to head to Idaho and Wyoming for the eclipse. Members of this group may want to take a careful look at the plans Lowell Lyon and the ALCON group are making for a Wyoming meeting, with plans to stay a few extra days and see the eclipse. If that is not feasible, you may certainly want to plan on being "onsite" a day ahead of time, so that you are not stuck in traffic, trying to get to your center line viewing spot on time. It's just too incredible an event to risk a traffic jam miss. If SLAS goes with a bus, make sure it leaves with plenty of time to handle the unexpected.....
