Generally Zoom Binoculars don't work all that well for Astronomy. If you are considering getting a pair I suggest you see if you can borrow a pair and try them first. If you want to move forward with a purchase, keep your receipt and packaging. I'm looking at getting a new pair of binoculars. My son unscrewed my current pair and messed up the alignment of them. I'm looking at some zooming binoculars. But, I read that these aren't all that great for star viewing. Is that true? What are peoples opinions on zoom binoculars for astro viewing?
