As somebody who works for one of these large Internet companies, I have to put in my $0.02 to let people know that a lot of what used to be free services on the web are either disappearing altogether, or becoming non-free mainly because of what has happened in the economy. Banner-advertising just doesn't pay the bills like it used to and so most Internet companies (mine included) have had to trim staff, in some cases very drastically, so getting quality support will likely be very hard in many cases, because you can only pay so many warm bodies with the limited money flowing around these days.
