We have been working on it but the mirror he ordered turned out to be a 8 in f/4 that is spherical not parabolised, bad coatings, and 1/2 inch thick from an outfit called Sylvan on e-bay. He is returning it for a refund. What we need is an 8in f/6 and finding one within his budget parameters has been difficult. So I am putting a feeler out to the local astro community hoping someone has one of these mirrors collecting dust that they could sell for about $80.00 or $100.00. If you have some decent eyepieces and focuser let me know also. We can get some GSOs' and a plastic r&p but if there is something better locally great. Thanks ahead of time for your help.
