It seems likely it will be clear by then. I heard the news story they said use Longvalley Junction to Cedar City, that is about 40 miles north of Kanab.
I don't know if all of you have heard about this but early Saturday
morning there was a real bad rock slide on SR-14. As of now, it looks like it will take months to repair. Over 1700 feet of road was damaged. This may impact the 2012 annular eclipse. I know some people were planning on going to Knarraville or Newcastle from Bryce Canyon. The only way to get to Bryce Canyon from Cedar City now is to take SR-20 to 89 then south to highway 12. Or in my case, go to Kanab and then head up 89 to highway 12. I haven't checked the Tribune or Deseret News yet to see if they covered the story. I hope to road will be open by May but at this point nobody seems to know.
