[Utah-astronomy] Dark Skies

Just returned from taking possession of our new house about 5 miles S of Hurricane (don't Taser me) Utah. Got up at midnight with the moon just setting and lighting the Hurricane Cliffs. I swear the Milky Way was so bright it might have been casting a shadow! So many stars that I was confused (more than normal) as to what constellations I was looking at! WOW, right decision to move there. As we get settled in, a future invite to SLAS members to visit and set up for observation and photography. So far, no rattlesnakes or scorpions in the back yard.
