Not true. Dave Bernson sent out a SLAS blast that tells how to get your discounted rooms online. The only problem was he gave the ALCON website instead of Ruby's Inn. If you go to the Ruby's website and follow his instructions it works great. I just booked my rooms online at the discounted rate. You have until June 25 to cancel so it is worth reserving now. The disclaimer indicates it is non-refundable but the actual reservation says it can be cancelled up until June 25 at 4:00 PM. -----Original Message----- From: utah-astronomy-bounces@mailman.xmission.com [mailto:utah-astronomy-bounces@mailman.xmission.com] On Behalf Of M Wilson Sent: Wednesday, November 10, 2010 10:54 AM To: Utah Astronomy Subject: Re: [Utah-astronomy] ALCON 2011 I've gotten the impression that you can't get any discount rates by clicking on Ruby's Inn. The Rudy's Inn discounts are only available if you register thru the Astroleague site. --- On Wed, 11/10/10, Ann Blanchard <a.blanchard@ugs.utah.edu> wrote: From: Ann Blanchard <a.blanchard@ugs.utah.edu> Subject: Re: [Utah-astronomy] ALCON 2011 To: "Utah Astronomy" <utah-astronomy@mailman.xmission.com> Date: Wednesday, November 10, 2010, 9:58 AM This link goes to something weird when I click it too. I think it needs to be www.rubysinn.com (it needs an s). -----Original Message----- From: utah-astronomy-bounces@mailman.xmission.com [mailto:utah-astronomy-bounces@mailman.xmission.com] On Behalf Of Lowell Lyon Sent: Wednesday, November 10, 2010 9:55 AM To: utah-astronomy@mailman.xmission.com Subject: [Utah-astronomy] ALCON 2011 Hello: The SLAS blast was incorrect in leading people to www.astroleague.org to make room reservations for ALCON 2011. The ALCON 2011 website is not up yet and so you need to go to the Ruby's Inn Website at www.rubyinn.com then go to "Reservations" and make your reservations there. RV and tent camping at Ruby's Inn are also available. If you decide to make a reservation for this, just call the main reservation number off of the Ruby's Inn website and mention ALCON 2011 for a discount off of the per person daily rate. I believe that as in the past, if you provide a telescope for public star parties, you may camp inside the park for free and have park admission for free. You may need to double check with Don Colton about this. Thank you.
