In one meteor storm, I actually heard (or detected) many hisses coming from them. I agree that they must have been radio, rather than acoustic, waves, because I heard and saw them at the same time. I nearly convinced myself I was imagining them but I could "hear" one coming from my upper left, let's say, and turn my head in that direction and see it. I was alone in the southern Utah desert and maybe my isolation from urban distractions had something to to with my sensitivity. -- Joe
