S&T reviewed several solar-filter mylars years ago, Tuthill's was one of them. They reviewed Baader material afterwards, it wasn't sold at the time of the mass-review, but essentially it blows them all away. I have used TO, Tuthills (Solar-Skreen), and a generic brand, there is no comparison. I even prefer it to my TO glass filter. Chuck --- Jim Stitley <sitf2000@yahoo.com> wrote:
Joe, where did you get the Baader film??? Locally? Price? Thank you VERY much. Is this comparable to mylar like Tuthill sells? Jim Stitley

I'll be up at Churchill Jr High, on Wasatch Blvd between 3900 South and 4500 South, setting up at 6:00 pm or so. I'll have my telescope and filter along with some #14 Welders Glass lenses. I'll have cardboard and paper so people can build their own pin-hole viewers/projectors as well.
I just bought some Baader film,(Thanks again Dave Dunn) so if I have the chance between now and Monday, I'll put together a set of filters for my 70mm binoculars.
Anyone and everyone is welcome.

To all on this list who are planning to attend or sponsor an eclipse-viewing party: Please send me details about when and where so I can put it in a Deseret News story. I know when the eclipse happens, but some parties might start earlier, some later. Thanks very much, Joe Bauman
