Kind of difficult if the sun isn't shining, don't you think? ;o) Any object is at it's best when crossing the meridian, but don't let that stop you if you miss the lunch window. If your only opportunity is late afternoon, go for it. That's when I went out yesterday and the view was terrific for so late in the day.
