That's impressive, Patrick. Maybe it's a secret NSA storage unit.... ________________________________ From: Patrick Wiggins <paw@wirelessbeehive.com> To: utah astronomy listserve utah astronomy <utah-astronomy@mailman.xmission.com> Sent: Monday, August 5, 2013 1:01 AM Subject: [Utah-astronomy] Tooele solar farm? A few afternoons ago while flying over by the city of Tooele the plane "lit up" by a light source coming from below. I looked down and found myself looking into what looked like a partially complete solar farm and many of its mirrors were catching the Sun and redirecting it my way. I don't remember seeing any news coverage of this facility. Anyone here heard anything? Whatever it was I flew over again yesterday and it appeared about 3/4 done. Pretty impressive setup: http://users.wirelessbeehive.com/~paw/temp/solarwind.jpg Reminds me of the solar farm down by Barstow a few of us SLASers visited several years ago. patrick _______________________________________________ Utah-Astronomy mailing list http://mailman.xmission.com/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/utah-astronomy Send messages to the list to Utah-Astronomy@mailman.xmission.com The Utah-Astronomy mailing list is not affiliated with any astronomy club.
