Nice story, Craig. Thanks for sharing. A number of years ago I was camped at Phantom Ranch at the bottom of the Grand Canyon, and a young man took the same opportunity/timing to offer his gal an engagement ring. And she also accepted. Often wondered if the climb out had any strain on their relationship. haha. 73, lh On 6/20/2012 10:58 PM, Craig Smith wrote:
I just thought I'd share a story -- a co-worker of mine took his girlfriend to Bryce Canyon for the eclipse last month. At maximum eclipse he proposed to her, using the ring of fire as a lead-in to presenting her with the engagement ring. I thought it was pretty creative of him to make the connection. Those who helped at Bryce can take some credit for the happiness of this young couple!
And yes, she accepted. _______________________________________________ Utah-Astronomy mailing list http://mailman.xmission.com/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/utah-astronomy
