Check out the Beechcraft model 17 (Staggerwing). This is truly the most magnificent bi-plane, and it first flew in 1932. Last time I checked, (took time off from learning to navigate the night sky without goto) that was after 1918. :) Mat -----Original Message----- From: utah-astronomy-bounces@mailman.xmission.com [mailto:utah-astronomy-bounces@mailman.xmission.com] On Behalf Of Chuck Hards Sent: Tuesday, September 06, 2011 1:42 PM To: Utah Astronomy Subject: Re: [Utah-astronomy] OAS speaker info attn: Roger Fry On 9/6/11, Larry Holmes <larry@kijoda.com> wrote:

WWI. They stopped making truly magnificent airplanes in November 1918. _______________________________________________ Utah-Astronomy mailing list Utah-Astronomy@mailman.xmission.com http://mailman.xmission.com/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/utah-astronomy Visit the Photo Gallery: http://www.slas.us/gallery2/main.php ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- This message and any included attachments are from Siemens Medical Solutions and are intended only for the addressee(s).
