My question about space weapons (or any weapons for that matter) to protect satellites is, how do you make a weapon that would defend a satellite from millions of BBs put into an orbit going the opposite direction and on a collision course with the target satellite? Joe Bauman wrote:

Nothing wrong with that. Considering Americans, and the rest of the free world for that matter, rely heavily on satellite technology, provided mainly by us, for it's day to day operations, any threat by a hostile government to disrupt that service, or, the life style in which WE have all come to expect, could bring a world of hurt to our economy and our way of life. It is THE role of our government to defend and protect our interests, and guarantee our security. And to that end, they should do whatever is necessary to get the job done.
