(Obligatory disclaimer, I have no monetary interest in this company) (Sales mode on) Not to sound like a shill, but you may want to put a Tivo on your Christmas list this year. Since our son forced us into getting one a few years ago, we have never missed a show we wanted to see. It is like having everything you watch be on a DVD, and if anyone calls while you are watching TV, you just put it on hold. If you ever miss what is said on TV, you back up easily and replay it. Much easier than a VCR, no tapes to remember to set up, and lots of choices on how you want to record shows. It is as far ahead of a VCR as a computer is ahead of a calculator. You can tell it to record every instance of a particular show, just first runs, single shows, whatever... It is worlds better. We don't watch that much TV, but what we watch, we see at our leisure, on our time frame, and an hour show never takes more than 40 minutes to see. Once people use one, they buy them. I cannot describe how much time it saves us, and how nice it is never to worry about being home to catch a specific show, and how nice it is to avoid ads. (Sales mode off) I apologize for the off topic posting, but I though it might be worth considering... Jo At 06:53 AM 11/9/2003 -0800, you wrote:
Darn! I missed the Elegant Universe last night (Einstein's Dream Nov 8, 5:00PM ) because I ran out to see the eclipse and I forgot to tape it. Does anyone know if Einsteins Dream will be on again?
