And a similar thing happened last month with the January issue. Weird.
However, there is a workaround. Go to http://www.skyandtelescope.com and click on "Current Digital Issue" (located on the far left about half way down the page).
Once there you login or create an account (free to paid S&T print subscribers) and the entire issue should download.
To save it as a PDF click on the "Save to your desktop" link in the upper right corner and then on the next page click on the "click here to download the PDF version of this publication" link.
Not as easy using the iPad app to download it automatically but it does work.
