I asked for that.

Sorry, but here goes:
A rope walks into a bar, and orders a drink. The
bartender says "Get outa here. We don't serve your
kind here."
Next day, the rope tries again. He walkes into the
bar and orders a drink. The bartender says "Didn't I
tell you yesterday? We don't serve your kind here.
Get out!"
The next day, he ties mihself into a knot, and messes
his hair up. Once more he walks into a bar and orders
a crink. The bar tender looks at him a bit funny and
says "Hey, aren't you that rope that came in here
yesterday and the day before?"
"Nope - I a frayed knot!"
A knot is another way of indicating uneven brightness,
sort of like lumpy light. These bright patches are
called knots.
