Both Griffith and Mt. Wilson were streaming it, Joan, but the seeing was awful. There was a Brazilian feed on you-tube that was pretty decent. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7SpbBfE8RXU Linton -----Original Message----- From: Joan Carman Sent: Saturday, January 24, 2015 10:53 AM To: Utah Astronomy Subject: Re: [Utah-astronomy] Jupiter Event It's way too late to suggest eyepiece projection. The problem was Jupiter's image was too small to see any detail. This is a time when the eye certainly beat out the camera! It was surprising to see all three shadows pass between the two main atmospheric bands. So far no actual images of the event have been posted on the internet, although Griffith Observatory has a cool simulation. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Dave Gary" <davegary@me.com> To: "Utah Astronomy" <utah-astronomy@mailman.xmission.com> Sent: Saturday, January 24, 2015 8:06:56 AM Subject: Re: [Utah-astronomy] Jupiter Event I'm stacking some, now. I don't think I got three moons, only two of them. My images with three moons are too blurry to make out. Bummer. I will plod ahead.
