This from spaceweather.com:
+++++ Space Weather News for August 11, 2012 http://spaceweather.com
PERSEID METEOR SHOWER: Earth is entering a stream of debris from Comet Swift-Tuttle, source of the annual Perseid meteor shower. Worldwide observers are now reporting more than 30 Perseids per hour, a number that could triple during the weekend when Earth reaches the heart of the debris zone. Forecasters recommend looking during the dark hours before dawn, especially Sunday morning, August 12th, when activity is expected to be highest. Visit http://spaceweather.com for sky maps, observing tips, and links to a live meteor radar. +++++

Creep?! Hold on there pardner.
If you were hungry and someone came onto your property uninvited and left a large container containing food don't you think you'd tear into the container to get to the food?
They call it "Bear Country" and not "Human Country" for a reason.

A few small prominences visible today in the PST, along with lots of surface detail including a shadow prominence. In white light (Baader filter), a Venus-size sunspot as well as several other smaller groups.
Worth a look.
