Rob said I could forward this, so here 'tis! Aram did the major part of the video, I just did polar align, focus, consult. He did the composite, edit, music, etc. I was busy down at my site doing my imaging and guest hosting. We had a Dwarf M Star conference and bunch of AF people over so we had a crowd at 9955 ft. It was a good day!! That was beautiful. I have never seen a better transit film. Many thanks, Joe
PS: Shouldn't this be forwarded to UtahAstronomy?

Dear Friends, Family and Associates.
We finished… I hope. The Transit of Venus video is now on line. http://www.youtube.com/user/Ansibletech play it in HD if you can. Making corrections on YouTube is not simple so please forgive any errors or oversights. I could have continued to edit and mix for many more days but it was time to finish up. We started rendering on the fight back from Maui and have been editing every day since. Thank you Erik Paulsen and Eric Beam for helping with the audio and dialog editing. I wired Jay Pasachoff with a wireless mic moments before the Transit and recorded him for the entire 6+ hours. I did not realize it at the time but his narration of the events turned out to be a priceless sound scape (you hear only a small sample). He is the conductor of an astronomy orchestra, coordinating each of his associates as the clockwork of the planets moves Venus towards its inevitable encounter with the Sun. What we captured that day will be part of the record for the next 105 years and having a seat on Jays shoulder was a rare treat. Please forgive the poor sound quality, we were fighting the wind and a set of massive fans venting nitrogen from the dome just too the right of where Raisha and I were working. More lessons for next time, don’t sit next to big scary fans. On our first day at the summit as we were selecting locations for the scopes I set up a time lapse camera to confirm were the Sun would set on the day of the Transit. It was a complete surprise, after rendering the frames that night, to see how beautiful the clouds were flowing below us. In human time everything seems to stand still, we had no idea we were standing at the banks of a river of clouds. This video shows the Transit only in the visible spectrum. There were other cameras capturing at other wavelengths that day and I hope, in time, to add their images to the video as well. I am particularly eager to see the atmosphere of Venus. I will try to share that with you when it becomes available. The music is from a street musician I have seen for many years at the #1 train on 66th street. He graciously gave me permission to use his music on this video. Please visit his web site if you have time http://salieususo.fourfour.com/discography I thank all of you for letting me share this adventure. Until next time..
