Not all kids are vidiots. But my own daughter can't stand ANY of her dads interests (I'm SO lame)- except music. She's getting quite good on the flute and has appropriated my old Jethro Tull songbook- it's her favorite sheet music! I've never been able to get her interested in astronomy or science/sci-fi at all. And it's not for lack of exposure, some folks just don't get what we get out of it.
