Mike I think Wolf Creek is a little farther east, while Monte Cristo is farther north. This time of the year much of the weather comes from the south. In the past both places have been much better than the valley except when we have had fires in the Uintas. You might want to call the Monte Cristo ranger station. I am probably going to Wolf Creek if the Kamas Ranger station gives the green light on Friday since it is much closer for me than Monte Cristo. Monte Cristo also has limited camping and you need to camp in the campground. If you go to Monte Cristo you might want to go up Thursday and get a campsite. Dave, any updates on the camping situation at Monte Cristo? -----Original Message----- From: utah-astronomy-bounces+djcolton=piol.com@mailman.xmission.com [mailto:utah-astronomy-bounces+djcolton=piol.com@mailman.xmission.com] On Behalf Of Olhomorto@aol.com Sent: Tuesday, July 10, 2007 4:05 PM To: utah-astronomy@mailman.xmission.com Subject: Re: [Utah-astronomy] Wolf Creek I am interested in Wolf Creek. I am also curious about Monte Cristo. Like, you I wonder whether one will be less obscured by smoke than the other.
