Okay since I haven't gotten any horrible news about the gallery, I'm going to start the move of the utahastronomy.com domain to the new host. It can take up to 72 hours to move, but usually takes about 12 to 24, or so it seems to me. The wiki, and until the domain moves, is the main page of www.utahastronomy.com A wiki is a really nice software that anyone/everyone can go in and update. This makes it so the website can be updated by many, many people, not just one. As one person can get overwhelmed with updating an entire wiki. The most popular wiki out there is http://www.wikipedia.org the UA wiki runs on the same software. Feel free to check out the UA wiki for a while. I'm going to start it's move, though.. taking backups and moving it to the new host. So if you enter anything in the next day or so, on the old host, it won't be moved. :) Too often people are too shy, or nervous, about updating a wiki. But have no worries! Things can be recovered and changed back, too. Cynthia On Jan 9, 2008 11:34 AM, Bob Moore <BMoore@commercecrg.com> wrote:
Tell me about the wiki page. I may have been told about it but if I was I have sadly forgotten

Cynthia asked,
Also, anyone still want the wiki? Is it being used? I have not moved it yet but if it's being used I'll move it as well.
Cynthia, I'd take your cue from SLAS management on that one. Although in three months the wiki pages got about 12,000 page hits, there doesn't seem to be enough interest from the club to support it. On and off of the "Observing Resources" page there are a number of 2008 ephemeris resource tables. On that basis alone, I'd suggest perserving it for the rest of 2008.
