Deb, A newtonian will always give superior images to an SCT. The reason for this is that the SCT is not as well corrected, particularly off axis. The ideal spot from an SCT is not as small and compact as that of a newtonian. Long focus helps both optical designs. Brent --- UTAHDEB@aol.com wrote:
