Sorry to hear about the problems, but sort of glad. Murphy targeted you this time. Last week-end he had me in his sights. The battery pack for my telrad fell out (again) and the wires were damaged. I managed to jury-rig it to work, sort of. Then went to attach my inverter to the portable power supply and discovered the connector was "gone!" Looked everywhere on the ground and then in the trunk, it was just gone. So an excellent night at the gravel pit with no spotter or power. :( There was something wrong with the sky last night. It was clear, but the stars were dim, muffled. Calling for clear skies all night. And it would be fun if someone local besides me got a shot of my possible find.

Hi Jay and Patrick -- the Clear Sky Chart says seeing will be as awful as it could be tonight. That's based on Lakeside, which is the nearest site they cover to Vernon, as far as I know. It's just not worth it to load all that gear and not be able to get a decent picture. So I have to pass on tonight, unfortunately. Thanks, Joe
