If you do not think finding and scheduling school star parties and/or people to work the SPOC telescopes is not work, then I suggest you run for a Board Member at Large position. You w/quickly find there is a very small core of people to draw on for helping at SPOC. I do not remember you as a volunteer when I had that task. You state (correctly) the club members are not young. Finding and scheduling star parties for schools is a major way to reach out to the youth. This s/be a major focus for the club. BTW, since I do not know your name as you hide under an alias, I have to ask if you are a paid up club member. I think we are seeing comments from non-club members, and that kind of action is uncalled for. (I went back and reread your post and it appears you are not a club member.) 73 On 8/26/2014 11:46 AM, CenturyLink Customer wrote: There are only t wo positions on the board that work and carry the brunt of SLAS for the year -. t he President and the Secretary/Treasurer. Me, myself and I, not a "CenturyLink Customer" - Wahoo!!!!!
