It's not surprising that ISON is not living up to expectations. What is surprising is that it is failing so spect act ularly . Now it is being suggested it isn't even going to be naked eye. ISON is supposed to be a first timer, and they usually perform better (i.e, more tail, more coma, etc). The studies suggest it is much more dust than ice. Do astronomers need to re-evaluate the comet models? On the other hand, the predicted meteor shower in January (as the earth passes through the debris field of Coment ISON might be worth seeing!!!
