The Island District of Canyon Lands NP is good, along with Natural Bridges Ntl Monument. Yes, the winds can be high that time of year, I remember a spring at Island in the Sky with sustained winds well over 40 mph for about 4 days. You can experience all types of weather in April, including snow.
Hi, everyone, and welcome from Baltimore, Maryland!
I will be traveling through southern Utah in April and I'm curious about dark sky sites there. The names I keep seeing are Moab, Arches and Hovenweep Nat Monument. I will be bringing along my 12.5" Obsession.
What is the weather like in April there? High winds? I know that can be true of New Mexico.
Many thanks in advance,
Roy
PS: I posted this question on Cloudy Nights, but I thought I would also check with your mailing list. Thanks, again. _______________________________________________ Utah-Astronomy mailing list Utah-Astronomy@mailman.xmission.com http://mailman.xmission.com/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/utah-astronomy Visit the Photo Gallery: http://www.slas.us/gallery2/main.php Visit the Wiki: http://www.utahastronomy.com
