Autographs and photos I took of some of the coolest astronauts including Alexi Leonov, the first man to walk in space. Photos I took in the '60s of missile launches. A chip of rusted iron from a V2 (if it's still around -- I haven't seen it in decades). I used to have chunks of solid rocket propellant from a Nike Zeus missile that exploded over our island, but eventually, many years after I returned to the States, I gave them to someone at Thiokol who disposed of them for me. Pictures and notes I took of the first moon-landing and another landing. A tape recording I made of one of the Rangers landing on the moon I think in 1965. -- jb ________________________________ From: Chuck Hards <chuck.hards@gmail.com> To: Utah Astronomy <utah-astronomy@mailman.xmission.com> Sent: Tuesday, December 27, 2011 2:45 PM Subject: [Utah-astronomy] Astronomy memorabilia What astro memorabilia do you have? What's the oddest thing in your collection? I have several, probably the most off-the-wall is Tom Cave's breakfast-cereal box. No lie. I also have Harlow Shapley's autograph. What's tucked-away on your shelf or closet? _______________________________________________ Utah-Astronomy mailing list Utah-Astronomy@mailman.xmission.com http://mailman.xmission.com/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/utah-astronomy Visit the Photo Gallery: http://www.slas.us/gallery2/main.php
