Anyone interested in getting together for an observation of Jupiter's moon next Thursday night, maybe at the junior high above Wasatch at about 45th South? Seems like we had an ad hoc get together there last year about this time. "On April 3 Io's disk occults Europa at 8:04pm (MST) for 3-4 minutes. At 9:47 the shadow of Io eclipses Europa for one minute. Six seconds after that eclipse ends, the shadow of Ganymede annularly eclipses Callisto at 9:48, lasting 6 minutes" (Astronomy April 2003). Sounds like an interesting series of events. Bill B.
