This was my problem too -- too many interested lookers kept me from getting any real decent photos -- the couple I got were way over-exposed. Oh well. We had decent seeing in South Provo -- we had our share of clouds to be sure, but had plenty of unobstructed viewing. Here's a link to my "first contact" shot using my Canon and a 200mm lens and filter: https://fbcdn-sphotos-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-ash3/525797_3716748910883_10... --- On Wed, 6/6/12, Steve Fisher <iotacass1@hotmail.com> wrote:

Joe: My only disappointment yesterday was that I was so busy I could not get to my camera. Not even for one picture. The events, the crowd, all the volunteers’ first floor to fifth floor. The moment when the clouds cleared and the people cheered! I would love for everyone to email me photos and video clips at iotacass1@hotmail.com with permission to use them. I would like to post a Movie with music to our Youtube account. Steve

Now that's cool! Maybe someone could collect a bunch of our transit pics and put them together with the music. -- Joe

Sousa's Transit of Venus March http://lcweb2.loc.gov/natlib/ihas/service/transit/200002625/0001.mp3
Sounds like something that ought to be played at the
next SLAS meeting.
