Bob, I don't know if the coating was an anti IR coating. The coatings werein very poor condition. I believe that aluminum coatings are at least partially transparant to IR. For IR telescopes gold is used for a coating. Brent --- RStmarie@aol.com wrote:
Brent, Just curious if those "Aircraft Carrier Bino's" had an IR anti-laser coating? As you know, IR lasers are often used for range finders for guns on ships, tanks, and planes, and can be strong enough to damage unprotected eyes. Just wondering, Bob St. Marie
