That is indeed a good choice and satisfies what I believe good science fiction is about: ie how a world reacts to something new. Humanity's reaction in "The Day..." is all too familiar. All of the movies with light saber battles, starship skirmishes, aliens speaking English, etc hold little interest to me and really belong in the fantasy bins. I liked Chuck's suggestion of The Day the Earth Stood Still so when I met with the lady in charge of the program today I suggested we screen that one.
