That little sunspot group I've been tracking is still there, but just about to disappear behind the Sun's western limb. Using a Lunt Hershel wedge in white light, I can see some bright patches associated with it. It's the only sunspot group on the solar disk at present. On the eastern limb, at about the same solar latitude as the sunspots, is a group of at least four bright patches that may be an indicator of another sunspot group about to rotate into view. These bright patches are not as easily seen using Baader film. The resolution and contrast with the wedge is better.
