I am a teacher at a school in Ogden Utah. We are taking a group of 8th and 9th graders on a camping trip for a couple nights next week in the Arches NP. I am curious if there is anyone in the area willing to bring by some telescopes and show the students a thing or 2. I find that the fascination is really high at this age level, but their experience is very low. I am not looking for anything in particular, just the opportunity to be exposed to some great astronomy the way one should be, in Southern Utah on a camping trip.
If you have any interest in helping, I would please let me know. We will be there from May 11-14th. The evening of the 12th would probably work the best, however that is definitely something we can work around the other 2 nights.
If you are interested, please shoot me a message at shayman@ogdenprep.org. Thanks in advance.
Sam
