The False Comet area of Scorpius is in the NGC 6231 and H12 area. It is in the low ---40 dec area near Zeta Scorpius. I've always been intrigued by this area of the sky. Visually it does look like a false comet at a dark site. I'm lucky I have a good mount with a polar scope and a good dark location to do this kind of astrophotography. I had to shift the Piggy-Cam a bit to the left to move the lens away from the dew shield so things were not centered like they were in the eyepiece. I think my magnifier will help me frame my shots better in the future. Next time I'll be going after to meteors. Debbie
