When I started the website, I took the time to put all the image info onto each page, with scope and mount info, camera and filter info, exposure times, and a little explanation of the object as well. Lately, I am just too busy to take the time. I feel lucky if I get a night to do a little imaging once in a while. At any rate, here are a few details on the Leo Trio and Crescent Nebula images. Leo Trio: Takahashi Epsilon 160 at F/3.3 Losmandy G-11/Gemini mount SBIG ST2000XM camera with Astrodon filters L:R:G:B at 70:30:30:30 minutes - 10 minute subs L binned 1x1 - RGB binned 2x2 Total exposure time 2 hours 40 minutes Data acquisition and preprocessing using MaxIm DL 4 Darks/Flats/Bias frames Post-processing in Photoshop CS3 Total processing time about 2 hours (but that can go on forever on RGB images) Crescent Nebula: Takahashi Epsilon 160 at F/3.3 Losmandy G-11/Gemini mount SBIG ST2000XM camera with Schuler Ha filter 180 minutes total with 20 minute subs (9) Data acquisition and preprocessing using MaxIm DL 4 Darks/Flats/Bias frames Post-processing in Photoshop CS3 Total processing time less than 1 hour On another topic, I think Don Colton and I are making a trip to see you in late September. I am really looking forward to spending some time with you and Don. I am tempted to take Patrick up on his offer to make the trip this weekend, but I don't think I can pull that off right now.
