Very nice. I now have yet another Google bookmark. My favorite Google site for satellite based Earth imagery is: http://maps.google.com/maps Not quite as fancy as Google Earth but unlike Google Earth you don't need a fast internet connection to use it. patrick p.s. to Guy: I was just on http://maps.google.com/maps poking around our old stompin' grounds at Danang. It's been turned into a part civilian airport / part military base so the runways and part of the ramp still look good. But down where I lived and worked ("Gunfighter Village") the place has really fallen into disrepair with most of the buildings either having been removed or allowed to rot. Oddly right where my barracks used to be there are a couple of MIGs parked on either side of some newer building. I'm half considering emailing a Danang Airport "contact us" email address I found and ask what the building is and if there are any ground based images of the Village available. But then they might not appreciate hearing from one of the "Blue eyed devils" (isn't that what Hanoi Jane called us?). BTW, I also looked over at the other side of the runways where you Marines lived. Also rundown and abandoned looking (just like I remember seeing it in 1969). :) patrick p.s. Very nice night tonight.
