I'm told that in addition to the mailer, the U has also sent a news release about the event to all Utah radio, TV and print media and has added this page about the event to their website: http://nhmu.utah.edu/tov-2012. Plus, I understand they'll have at least two radio stations broadcasting live from the event.
I'm sure Steve would like me to add that he's still looking for additional folks to run telescopes and help in other ways with the event. To offer your services contact Steve at iotacass1@hotmail.com<javascript:;>(remember that those helping out get themselves and their family members admitted the museum free that day).
And just to rehash (in case you missed it the first time around) the public will not have to pay to look through the great majority of the scopes or to attend the many talks and demonstrations planned throughout the day.
