Count me in for Friday night (our UVAA star party is Saturday); my wife will just have to get over it! Rich --- Chuck Hards <chuckhards@yahoo.com> wrote:

I like that Lakeside site; I hadn't been out there before the comet-thon. And I really like binopalooza. My lunar calender has June 10 (a monday) for the new moon; there's a solar eclipse that afternoon (late) and a party at SPOC. So plus or minus a day or two?
Plus or minus up to four days would probably be OK, especially this time of year when it doesn't get truly dark until well after ten.
I was impressed with Lakeside also. It's reasonably close to the Wasatch front, and the sky was pretty darn dark for being only an hour from Salt Lake.
I would have to stay away if rain fell the day before, though, or it could be a mudhole.
Friday or Saturday nights work best for me, but this far in advance I could schedule a vacation day if I could line-up a babysitter (wife works, too, and school's out in June...the kid isn't too keen on astronomy, though she loves Jethro Tull, so all is not lost...)
How about a show of hands?
All those in favor of Binopalooza around June 10th at the Lakeside site, post "aye"! Friday/Saturday night, or is a weeknight OK?
Chuck
