I've been in touch with Patrick and he's been in contact with most of the media regarding Columbia. He's been up for 25 hours and is understandably still in shock (as I think we all are). Please keep him in your thoughts as well as the families, friends, and colleagues of the Columbia crew. He' s got a tough job right now dealing with the media. Not a job I would envy. Salt Lake is very lucky to have Patrick as such a knowledgeable resource. David Bennett President Salt Lake Astronomical Society On Saturday, February 1, 2003, at 01:51 PM, Jim Gibson wrote:

I just got a phone call from one of the directors at Channel 4 news. She wants to hear from anyone that saw the flyover this morning from down south, and apparently wants to do a personal interview with those willing to be on camera (Patrick, are you back yet?).
They are also looking for someone who has a model of the space shuttle that would be willing to let them use it for the news segment (all of Hansen Plaetarium's stuff is in boxes it seems, ready for the move to the Gateway location).
Anyway, if anyone can help, contact Megan Herrick at Channel 4 news: 975-4401
Thanks, Rich
