Aloha Deb My suggestion is to bracket, you know make longer and longer exposures each time increasing the exposure time by 50% (1/2 stop). Depends on film speed too, where to start depends on how bright the sky/comet are. You got the gear set up so shoot a roll. TAKE NOTES!!! and if the exposures aren't right, you can check back and correct. Have fun!! Aloha Rob PS I'll be shooting w/ a 400mm on a Pentax 6X7 camera, about a 180mm equivalent on a 35mm camera
