When I was a kid, I used a wrist-rocket. Definitely don't do that! When I moved into my current house, there was one obnoxious street light a few yards over, that shone directly on my backyard observing spot. A few years later they re-did the streetlights and that one went away. They didn't use full-cutoff fixtures for the replacements, but shorter poles and it was shifted several yards, which placed it behind a home. No more direct glare, for the past 18 years or so. Don't pass this on! I just installed and successfully tested a toggle switch on a street light that is obnoxious, illuminates everywhere but down and illuminates my observation area with a sick Halloween orange light. Score one for higher S/N ratio. It took $3.00 and under 4 minutes of time.
