Okay, I'm just throwing this out for a "hmmmmm" thought exercise. Are the three events connected? Russia gets a fireball, ISON passes closest approach and San Francisco reports a daytime fireball? Is it possible ISON has broken up and little pieces are ahead and behind and some are reaching earth? Sort of like a smaller Shoemaker/Levy 9? Of course, there is no way to prove it. But it just seems odd they all occur so close together. It made me go hmmmmmm.
