That's a good rule-of-thumb. A couple of exceptions are those tiny, blue planetaries and very distant globulars. But 10X/inch is good for 90% of the faint fuzzies. You can bump it up a bit with smaller apertures, to help increase contrast. On Wed, Jan 7, 2009 at 2:03 PM, <zaurak@digis.net> wrote:
