Could have done without the fireworks, I have been tolerating fireworks going off for last 6 weeks. Pick a night people! I think we are lucky we have had few high fire danger conditions this year. I find remnants in my yard often, these new legal fireworks travel a good distance.
Not sure what you heard but the fireworks at SPOC started just past 9:00
and were done by 9:30.
A great star party, BTW. Thanks in part to the efforts of those members who worked a booth by the clubhouse through much of the day passing out info about the club and the evening's star party.
So by the time of the star party there were loads of public being served by lots of SLAS members with their scopes.
Great skies too and warm enough I never had to put on a sweater.
Thanks to all who helped out.
Clear skies,
patrick
p.s. Fun time at Advanced Training too. :)

It's Stansbury Day today and with the rest of the Stansbury Day activities winding down folks are starting to show up here at SPOC in force. Fireworks set for after dark (wonder if they'll set a field on fire again this year <g> ).
Y'all come on out and enjoy the sky.
